Discuss the characteristics of the brand’s market category—its history, its product features, and other unique aspects.
Then, move on to discuss competitors. Emphasis should fall on direct competitors, each of which should be discussed separately. Provide a brief analysis of each competitor’s market share or sales figures, as well as marketing and positioning strategies (as reflected in marketing and advertising). If there are figures on sales and/or advertising/marketing budgets, include them as well. Conclude each competitor’s analysis by highlighting its unique position in the market.
Organization is very important here. Feel free to strategically use charts or tables to compare or contrast the major brands.
