Choose a specific topic pertaining to syllabic, morphemic, contextual analysis or dictionary strategies in this chapter. Explain how you may incorporate that idea, strategy, or activity into your classroom (or future classroom) in 5 to 7 sentences. Provide a link or resource for integrating your chosen idea, strategy, or activity into the classroom.
Chapter 10 Activity
1. Choose a graphic organizer you would like to learn more about and reread the pages pertaining to that organizer:
•Semantic Map (p. 311, 313)
•Venn Diagram (p. 312, 314-315)
•Semantic Feature Analysis (p. 312, 314)
2. Using the organizer you selected, create the organizer using the Key Terms on page 327. You can use word, PowerPoint, or another application. You can even draw out your organizer on notebook paper and submit a picture. Whatever works best for you.
3. Then evaluate the effectiveness of your organizer. Under your organizer, list 2 strengths of the organizer and 2 weaknesses of the organizer.
