Topic . Aristotle’s cosmos removes many of the supernatural elements found in the Biblical cosmos. Nevertheless, humans still live at the center of the universe in his model, too. Does this make humans more or less important in his system? Why? (Remember: back this up in terms of historical modes of thought, not personal opinion.)
to re-cap what these papers are not:
NOT opinion papers
NOT (merely) reports of information from other sources
NOT using the course lectures as a cited source
NOT a broad historical overview, but a focused argument on a specific event/issue
Focus on saying just one thing about the historical event or issue. The goal of this paper is to explore a single, very specific topic in depth, NOT write a broad overview. The more you delve and focus on single issue, the more you are working in the spirit of the assignment (And the happier your grader will be 😉 You will come to find that it is often harder to scale back a paper like this and only write a few pages – which is part of the challenge of these assignments – we want you to practice being concise and direct with your writing.
